2.1.10. Timing mode

The timing mode combo-box allows you to choose a ballistics preset that determines how Loudness Leveler responds to changes in source loudness. Each timing mode offers a different trade-off between responsiveness and smoothness.

• Focus reacts quickly to loudness changes with look-ahead enabled.
• Present balances responsiveness and smoothness with look-ahead enabled.
• Deep applies longer smoothing with look-ahead enabled.
• Traditional applies classic ballistics with look-ahead enabled.
• Focus (LL) same as Focus without look-ahead (low-latency).
• Present (LL) same as Present without look-ahead (low-latency).
• Deep (LL) same as Deep without look-ahead (low-latency).
• Traditional (LL) same as Traditional without look-ahead (low-latency).

The low-latency (LL) variants disable look-ahead to minimize delay.
